Part One: Busted

Your eyes were fixed on the golden piece of paper in your hand as you stood outside of the Trancy manor. Just hours ago you had received orders from a higher ranking angel.  You were to visit Alois and persuade him to repent his evil ways.  Simple as the orders were you couldn't help but feel uneasy after everything that had happened with Angela/Ash.

There had been much unrest in Heaven after what she/he had done.  The Creator had never intended for angels to purify humans against their wills, that is why He gave humans free will in the first place.  Your job as an angel was to minister to the humans, to show them the error of their ways and give them a chance to repent.  It was as simple as that.  Should the human refuse to listen to reason, you were to go about your merry way.

"Should be easy..." You said, crumpling the piece of paper and tossing it to the ground.  You looked around to make sure no one was there before spreading your wings and flying into an open window.  You put your hand to your forehead when you realized you were in the bathroom. "Of all rooms..." You muttered, carefully opening the door so you would remain unnoticed.

"Come on, Ciel! Play another game with me!"

Your body tensed when you heard voices coming from down the hallway. 'Ciel?' You thought, 'Surely it cannot be-'

"I've had enough of your games." A voice replied sternly, the voice of the one and only Ciel Phantomhive.  He was infamous among the angels after what had happened.  He was the only human in existence strong enough to resist being cleansed by Angela/Ash.  But what was he doing here?  Rumor had it that Ciel and Alois hated each other.

"Wait a minute..." You whispered, rubbing your chin.  "If I can save Ciel AND Alois I will be promoted to an archangel for sure.."

You smiled at the thought and made your way down the hall until you found them.  They were sitting in a large office playing a friendly game of chess.  "Hello, boys..." You said softly, closing the office door behind you.  "I see the two of you are getting along.  I am truly pleased."

"Umm...who in the hell are you?" Alois asked.

Ciel narrowed his eyes at you.  "Yes, and how did you get in here?"

You offered the children a warm smile, stepping closer to them.  "You needn't worry about that.  I have a divine appointment with the two of you."

"What the devil are you talking about!?" Alois asked with a frown.

Ciel's eyes widened.  "Oh shit...she's an angel."

You stared at the child in disbelief.  "How...how did you know?"

"Well.." Ciel said, "It could be the fact that you appeared out of nowhere, or the fact that you are wearing an angelic white robe..."

"You're a smart little boy, aren't you?" You asked, trying not to get annoyed.  This was obviously going to be more of a difficult task than you imagined.  You raised your hands in front of you and took a step closer to the boys.  "Fear not, my children.  I am not here to cause you harm.  I only want to-"

"CLAUDE!" Alois screamed, while Ciel shouted, "SEBASTIAN!"

"No, wait...!" You hissed, "Don't call-" But before you could finish your sentence two dark figures entered the office, each of the glaring at you with glowing eyes.  'They're demons...' You thought, 'I have to get out of here!  I do not have the strength to fight both of them.' 

You looked at the young boys once more.  "Please..." You pleaded, "Allow me to save you.  These demons do not care for you.  They only want to-"

"Get rid of her, Sebastian." Ciel demanded, "That is an order!"

"Yes, young master.."  The demon replied happily.   "But I must ask that you leave.  You will not want to witness this."

"Whatever.." Ciel muttered, taking his word for it.  "Come on, Trancy."

Alois folded his arms in front of his chest.  "But...aww, Claude can't I watch?"

Claude raised a hand in the air.  "I must insist you leave as well, Your Highness.  Take Ciel outside to the garden until we are finished with her."

"Fine.." Alois conceded.  He grabbed Ciel by the wrist and pulled him out of the office.

You gulped nervously when the two demons started approaching you.  "Well.." You said, slowly backing away from them.  "Would you look at the time??  I'm running late for my next appointment.  Guess I'll be going."  You spread your wings, ready to fly out of the window, when the one called Claude wrapped his arms around your waist.  "Take your filthy hands off of me, demon!" You demanded, trying to loose yourself from his grasp.  Who did he think he was!?

The one called Sebastian chuckled darkly, taking your chin into his gloved hand.  "My, my....how foolish you are for coming here.  You angels really must learn to stop sticking your holy noses where they do not belong."  He looked past you to Claude.  "I do not believe she is fallen, just stupid."

"How dare you speak that way about me!" You said, "You know as well as I do that it is my job to help those caught up in wickedness.  Ciel and Alois are just children.  They have no idea the repercussions they will face for summoning the two of you.  I came to save them before it is too late."

"She's a stubborn one, too.." Claude said, stroking your (h/c) hair. 

You grimaced at his touch and tried to shake yourself free again.  "Release me, demon, or I will have no choice but to fight you."

"Do you really think it would be wise to try it?" Sebastian asked, "Your powers are not strong enough to take us both on.  You are just a lowly messenger angel."

"That tears it..." You said, "If it's a fight you want, you shall have it."
